Manchu Manoj and Pranathi: at their sangeet ceremony in Hyderabad

South superstar Mohan Babu's actor son Manoj is getting married and pre-wedding festivities have begun with a bang in Hyderabad.

A glitzy sangeet was held on May 17 for Manoj, the 31-year-old star of Telugu films such as Donga Dongadi and Bindaas, and his bride-to-be Pranathi Reddy.

Manoj wore a sherwani at the sangeet and Pranathi looked lovely in a pink gown.

Mohan Babu was the life and soul of the party, dancing to the beats of a dhol wielded by the groom

The family led the revels on the dance floor. Guests included actors Hansika Motwane, Sriya Reddy and Vikram Prabhu.

Hansika took a selfie with the groom's brother Vishnu and danced with his wife Viranica.

The sangeet was preceded by the Pellikodukku, which is the Southern equivalent of the haldi ceremony.

Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi and NTR's son Balayya posed for a photo with the family and other guests. Actress Lakshmi Manchu, who is Manoj's sister, looked lovely in a blue and gold saree.
